FRAEW/PAS 9980

Our fully inclusive service includes:

• A consultant to attend site and open/close the facade
• A correctly qualified Fire Engineer to complete a holistic Fire Safety Review of the block
• Height Verification Report
• Arranging all mechanical machinery needs, along with any permits licences to include any road closures, traffic management, suspension of bays and liaising with the council to get everything in place and agreed for the survey to take the burden away from the client
• A full FRAEW3 report in line with PAS9980 with an EWS1 form if required (at cost) which is produced and reviewed by the correctly accredited members of FRC.

It is important to note that a FRAEW/PAS 9980 survey is required for the below regulations and processes.

• The Fire Safety Act 2021: all multi-occupied buildings of any height in England and Wales must have a fire risk assessment, considering the external walls (and any attachments).
• The Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022: information about the design and materials of the external wall system and the level of risk imposed must be provided to the local fire and rescue service.
• The Building Safety Act 2022: part of the golden thread of information.
• EWS1 Assessment Certificate
• Cladding Safety Scheme: A PAS 9980 report is now compulsory upon applying to the fund.

Abbreviated site inspection

An innovative survey, providing an economic solution to an industry wide problem. We can undertake an inspection to identify the materials of the external wall in order to advise if a full Fire Risk Appraisal of the External Wall (FRAEW), as specified by PAS 9980, is required.
